Oskar Kohnen and Fabian Freytag created ‘parapluie table’. The piece combines the function of a versatile surface area with the form of an umbrella – an ode to the absurdity
of the everyday. The steel foot adds weight to the plywood table top, but the form is meant to look fragile, adding visual tension.
