Bottles are by far a designer’s most favorite item to re-purpose. Head over to Pinterest and you’ll scroll endlessly for days, looking at the kind of stuff people do with old bottles. With the Bottle Light, there’s an element of industrial design involved that we liked and we’re sure you will too. Designed to retrofit into any glass bottle, the light is a cork-shaped component with an LED at the bottom and actual cork on the top. Pop it onto any glass bottle to turn it into a luminary. The design also allows you to charge it via USB, which makes it quite a neat product to gift yourself or others!

KDSZ studio founder Chi Hsiao-En about project: “The concept of the series comes from different types of tradicional Chinese containers such as vase and bowl. Whit its elegant outline and proportion, combining with the everyday use cup shape to create a mixed item. The design tried to bring the beauty of tradition into modern daily life. When the cup filled with varios drinks, the “vase” or “bowl” shows up, with different colors. People are juts enjoying their time with the drinks and the design.”

Inspired by this concept, the Doublet incorporates not one, but two of the more common types into one beautiful, seamless, stemless piece. Designer Jarosław Jankowiak about project: “Lamp N16 was to be technical and simple. It is inspired by the climate of lofts. The used materials - painted aluminum and white glass give it an elegant character.”

“N15 lamp gives the interior a warm climate. Traditional materials which are wood and fabric are denying its unusual form. Can be used both indoors with a more traditional character and those more advanced.”

With its clever double walled glass design, the pitcher reveals its natural side when filled with milk. Probably the first adjective that comes to mind when describing this item is “cute”. Especially if you take its size into consideration: the pitcher is only four inches (ten centimeters) tall, which makes it a jewel to have around the kitchen. On the other hand, it would not hurt if the producers would come up with a larger version of the creative item (meaning a more practical design) as well. But we are certain that children will fall in love with its original appearance, no matter what the liquid inside. The user can totally take advantage of its transparency and color it in various ways- for example, the cup below was filled with a salad dressing, but also works great with sauces and syrups.
