Usually people encourage themselves in the new year, But the truth is everyone is busy like a dog. Occasionally looked at the dog, quietly accompanied by the side, reflecting on…… People have a rich and colorful world, but dogs never have anything belonged to itself. Gou Dong Xi didn’t have too many grooming. We decided to play a product with its real name.

Exploring air thermal insulation capacity using the inflatable alveolar wall, the frigid air refrigerator is flexible. This unique feature allows you to change the volume of the refrigerator and thus determine the cooling capacity for the amount of food stored. What this means is – you can expand and compact the fridge, depending upon how much food is there to be stored. A basic heat pump cools the food storage space and has no contact with the cold zone. Essentially the compressor and condenser are bundled up and don’t emit heat near the main cooling box. The main fridge bag is sealed and a protective waterproof textile is fixed on the inside using Velcro strips.

I like innovative thought processes that ignite change. Is this fridge design the best possible solution? Perhaps not, but it does force us to think of a modular form that can expand or contract as per the usage, and help save space and energy.

Designer Toma Brundzaitė creating objects analyzed the cultural traditions of eating whole, which is typical for certain regions or groups of people. The aim was to create a picnic for three different collections, which vary in price and materials. Picnic book – one piece disposable crockery and cutlery in the book. “In this work I wanted to look at how much more” disposable dinnerware concept “- says T. Brundzaitė.

Each page of the book are of different sizes and shapes of bowls and eating utensils. After you choose the dishes, you should pay attention to the bottom of the page, follow the instructions: from contour tear, bend and capture as indicated. Great advantage that every person eating utensils can accommodate both right-and left-hand.

Picnic book is divided into three sections: appetizers, main dish and a plate-accessories. This dish named because fastened on the finger like a ring. “They are easy to store and standing and sitting, and we can be sure that the plates and you shall not,” – said the designer.

Author of the book everyone who uses these containers provide another opportunity to stand out. The second half of each sheet printed with ornaments, which can be colored by the presence of someone to save.

Soap Flakes by Nathalie Stämpfli

Soap Blocks instead of liquid Soaps. Product designer from Basel, Switzerland. Nathalie Stämpfli says:

“Today, most of the soap we use is liquid soap, which contains a lot of water. Block soap instead is more concentrated and therefore has some ecological benefits: You don’t transport unnecessary water around. In place of plastic bottles you can simply use paper for packaging. The solid blocks can easily be piled and allow a greater space efficiency in a truck.

But what about the usage of soap bars? I don’t like the weird slippery feeling when I use them. It gives me goose bumps. And under the shower, it always slides out of your fingers. Hand soap also often gets dirty and accumulates bacteria when more than one person is using it.
I designed two dispensers that turn block soap into beautiful little flakes. They offer you a new comfortable sensation when they are falling on your hands and easily dissolve in water.
The first version needs to be attached to the wall. You can easily use it with one hand; while you are pushing the grater, you are capturing the flakes. With its open shape it lets the soap block evolve its fragrances into the room.
The second version is a grater that can stand by itself. Therefore it’s more flexible in usage. It could be placed in the same way as a shower gel or shampoo.”

Herb Pots Packaging by Henry Roberts and Felicitas Ohnesorge

Design student Henry Roberts about project:

“The aim of this project was to create a simple solution to a problem we identified in packaging, the chosen topic here being packaging of herb pots in supermarkets. A problem we identified was the lack of protection for the plants while transporting them home from the super market, no option for carrying the plants other than holding the pot and no tray attached underneath for watering the plants.

To resolve this we created a simple cone shaped, cardboard package with a carry hole and a tear strip in the middle. We designed the package this way so when the consumer arrived home they could rip the top half of the package off, fold along the dotted lines and fold the top half down into a tray for the pot to go into.
Because of the way we designed this package there is now protection for the plant, the consumer has the ability to carry the plant easily and there is little to no wastage of materials.”

Soso by Eduardo del Fraile

‘Soso is a brand of high-quality salt. The client was looking for a distinguishing packaging that would change the current reference in the delicatessen shelves. The salt comes from a salt mine right next to a nature reserve in Santiago de la Ribera, Spain. An egg is the perfect container, its own shell is the packaging, it was decided that the shape of the egg would be reproduced for the product container and salt cellar. Soso has different types of salt to cook with different flavours; the colour of each egg relates to its flavour. The project and the brand were named SOSO, which means “lacking salt or short of salt” in Spanish.

The whole project was developed within a 150 km-radius, this way the manufacturing environmental impact was significantly reduced. Sometimes, a graphic designer has to deal with three dimensions, this task can be very enriching if the project has a solid design basis. This project was especially interesting due to the existing relationship with the client José Ros and with Aurelia González, who helped me in the development of this work.’
