like in Italian trattorias? But hate the idea of ironing them? We do too. So we made iron- free tablecloth!

The paper-cloth is washable and almost impossible to tear apart. After use just put the tablecloth into the washing machine and re-use it straight away because it dries instantly!

A fish tank is something that many of us own; it’s home to our fishy little companions that make our houses feel a little more like home! But there is no denying that a lot of fish tanks are somewhat of unsightly eyesores; they stand out within the home for all the wrong reasons as opposed to complimenting the existing furniture. This is certainly far from ideal.

AQUA is indisputably an exception to this! The crisp, clean geometry beautifully combines a fish tank, plant pot and sculpture, seamlessly. And most importantly, it does this without compromising the habitability of the environment for the fish.

Chopping Board by Kate Chesters

Working from my studio in Liverpool I create unique artworks on cutting boards. I wanted to find a way to incorporate art into everyday life – paintings on a wall can seem boring to many people. With my boards, food preparation in the kitchen is so much more fun and colorful.

Each board takes several days to complete, with many steps involved in the process. It’s definitely a messy business! The floor in my studio is absolutely COVERED in resin – I always change into my ‘resin shoes’ so that my regular ones don’t get destroyed!

My work is inspired by landscapes that I have seen on my travels – most particularly the frozen landscape of Reykjavik and the swirling rapids of Niagara Falls. Mountain climbing is one of my favorite things to do, so I get a lot of inspiration from the epic views at a mountain’s summit.

I am a self-employed independent artist. It’s definitely hard work – and a lot of work! – to keep your own business ticking over daily, but I love the challenge. I sell my work online and in small independent shops. One of my big goals is for a large retailer to stock my boards – watch this space!

As a kid, our favoritebowls and cups were the one’s with a surprise waiting at the bottom of the vessel. Like a small ceramic bunny or puppy. You had to slurp up all the milk in order to reveal the critter at the bottom. You must fill the vessel with liquid in order to reveal the surprise, whether it be a cat, wolf or bird. Pretty amazing, huh?

The primary function of handles and knobs is to open a door or drawer, but kids often double them as a hanger to place their jacket or a bag. How to interest children in books? Library for children in your home. A traditional family library has been transformed into an appealing place for kids by the creative Madrid-based studio, Playoffice designing exclusively kids spaces that encourage learning through playing.

“Reading Net” is a wonderful way to show kids that reading can be fun and entertaining. It makes the boundaries between playing and reading disappear. A cute trick to keep them “busy”.

Kids perceive the world differently: our rules and limits don’t make sense to them. Reading Playoffice’s manifesto we get to see also why. For kids, the world we live in is a wonderful and enormous playground: walls are for painting, bathtubs for swimming, furniture is for climbing. In this colourful universe of endless possibilities, a suspended “hideout” such as the Reading Net, where kids can sit, lay down or even hang upside down sounds like fun.
