Experimental standing chair with the aim of avoid the harmful effects of the sedentary lifestyle. The furniture allows the user dynamic posture changes and helps the user to work close to standing position.

We heard a lot about the harmful effects of the sedentary work style to our spine while we spend most of our work time in seats. But sitting causes obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

My experimental standing chair allows the user dynamic posture changes. We can work in leaning position, while there is a position close to normal chair we can use to reduce the load on our feet.

The furniture has ethereal but rigid structure. I wanted it to be static and sturdy, to keep the furniture nature. The chair is made up of geometric elements, so i gave matte black finish for more serious and elegant look.

It is breaking usual sequences and habits by effecting everyday activities in a sensory experience as well as a dexterity game. The do-it-different concept amuses the inner child and causes lateral thinking. Organized chaos. Seriously fun.

The dominant element of this object is clearly that of the links of a chain. It is broken, however, by a sheet of steel, both an allegorical element and the backbone of the structure on which the books are placed. Its strong visual impact comes to the fore when the entire length of the arch is filled with books.

Nighthouse by Lianne Siebring isn’t just a bedside table but is the result of a search for the most ideal nightstand. Why don’t nightstands have lights? Why can’t you find the right page of the book the next day? With these questions Lianne Siebring designed Nighthouse by Night. A book can easily be placed on the roof, ensuring you won’t have to search for the right page the next day. Another thing that makes the design unique is the lighting that is already built into the nightstand.

In the new production edition a different fitting will be used, Lianne is still busy looking for a nice, suitable fitting. The foot is made from metal and the house of birch plywood.

This is the first collection of luxury hardware developed just for kids. The primary function of handles and knobs is to open a door or drawer, but kids often double them as a hanger to place their jacket or a bag. The object loses its main function and it becomes difficult even impossible to open the door. To account for this duality, all the elements of the TIBOU collection present a small hook on their front face, giving the child a perfect place to hang their belongings without hampering the opening of the door or drawer.

It is based on Richard Buckminster Fuller’s spherical thin-shell structure, which is used for creating the geodesic domes. As is known, such domes have high load carrying capacity, but can be rapidly created of the light elements.
Q1 chair like geodesic dome: it can withstand heavy loads, while remaining visually easy.The inside of the chair upholstered with felt to keep warm, soft parts are made of chenille with flocking substrate. Hollowfiber is used for filling, it’s an environmentally friendly synthetic material capable of retaining its shape, unlike classical fillers.
The spherical shape of the chair provides the most comfortable and natural fit for human and appearance makes it versatile for both the public and home interiors.

As the designer herself stated, the overall goal of the project was to create the ultimate relaxation place. A chill-out zone that calls out to the user with its genuine appearance; one should feel the comfort just by looking at it.

“Kulle was created to evoke the instinctive feelings of safety and relaxation. It is addressing our sense of touch combined with curiosity and the desire to explore things. In order to prevent the increasing consumption we as designers should think of new ways to enhance the lifespans of the products in our everyday life. Persistence means sustainability. Convert was developed out of the need for more and more flexibility in all areas. A table should not only be space-saving, but also offer as much work space as possible. In addition it should be adjustable for height and as light as possible, to be repositioned all the time. After analyzing such interactions between human and product, we came up with the idea of developing a new kind of table, which is subdivided into three layers. The table is suitable to every situation of height, usage and situation concerning the user.

Convert doesn’t only provide the opportunity to eat and to prepare a meal, but also to work or as a kind of small buffet for events. It’s designed for smaller households. Each single element can easily be used by sliding it out. So it provides different amount of space and different seat and standing heights. All in all the table is designed lightly and without attending too much attention. The material consumption is reduced to a minimum and the overall modern form reflects elegance and quality. These aspects are brought out by using oiled beech. By bending over the tables’ surfaces, it’s managed to avoid more constructive parts.

Hanna Emelie Ernsting about project: “Moody Nest was created with the intention to provide an especially intense feeling of comfort, warmth and intimacy. The user should be fully absorbed by the opulent cover in order to be able calm down completely. The textile part of Moody Nest is more dominant while the base is reduced further more compared to Moody Couch.”
